Multidisciplinary Team Management
It has been long recognized that collaboration between providers in a clinical network can greatly improve patient care. However, this can only be effectively achieved with the appropriate level of information support. The AxSys solution brings together all of the components necessary to deliver Multidisciplinary Team Management, including:

- Incorporation of multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings within the care pathway
The AxSys solution facilitates the creation and management of clinical teams through a proven Clinical Information Management System (CIMS) via a secure web based portal that is accessible by all team members throughout a community of care providers, and provides a mechanism for:
- Setting up and running clinical meetings using video conferencing
- Providing a secure clinical information system to record the patient history and store clinical information and medical images
- Establishing a robust clinical data set to facilitate audit processes, for example an oncology data set
- Providing a means of informing patients and all members of their care teams about ongoing care
The solution enables clinical data to be collated from various sources including existing laboratory, radiology, patient administration, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, palliative care, and other clinical systems. Information on referrals, clinical reviews and treatment can be captured, which results in the delivery of a core patient record which can be shared between all providers.
